Mosaic Works By Laura Stone
Smalti is used on walls and is not grouted. This material is a brilliant opaque glass made especially for mosaic by the Orsoni family in Venice, Italy.

Marble and the reverse method used for the table top is also used for floor designs. The marble comes from all over the world and in all colors. These mosaics are grouted.

The outdoor pebble pavers show designs that can be used as outside borders to driveways, paths or patios. Pebbles are from Lake Superior. The pavers hold up well in northern climates

Framed wall work done in pebbles also includes some semi-precious stones.

The sketches are from a collection of on-going themes. "Oracle" is defined as a place or object of wisdom. I have titled several sketches with that word because this place along the Lake Superior is loaded with the kind of color and light that can inspire those wonderful personal moments when wisdom pours in....beyond the common everyday distractions.
